Help with dirt bike racing?
Ok so i'm 15 and dirt bike racing seems really cool to me, so I told my parents I wanted to start. My mom's all for it but my dad says that I waited to long to start because most people that go pro start at like 4 or 5. I know I waited kind of long and I know I have a lot of catching up to do (i'm fine with that) but in a few years could I still go pro? If not, could I still do it for fun?
P.S I'm a girl and fast learner

well, it depends on how hard your willing to work for it. and if your naturally talented at it. you are starting at a late age but it is still possible but you cant just go ride once a week and lay around all the rest of the time. you have to be riding as much as possible and get as much seat time as possible and when your not on the bike you have to be acitve lifting wieghts or excersising. you have to go into the sport knowing your going to get hurt bad. as tony hawk said about travis pastranna that. its how much harder you work after coming back from injuries that sets you apart from the others.
another thing, you are not supposed to get into a sport only to go pro. it will never work. you get into and sport to have fun and keep at it (having fun) until good things come to you. ive been to national races and see kids in the 50cc class get 2nd place!!!! AT A NATIONAL. theres dads yell at them and the kid crys. how far will this kid go. its no fun for him at all so once he turns about 12 he’ll quit and probably start doing drugs and his dad will probably divorce his mom after a big fight over him hating his kid. JUST HAVE FUN WITH IT!.
if you are getting into this sport only to go pro it just doesnt work. also, it takes money to make money. i know kids at the local track who could probably place top 15 in the pro nationals but they cant afford to get there. then theres the kids with no talent at all who have money and go pro for it. yes alot of pros start at a very young age but it is still possible to make it at your age. you have to want it every day of your life though. you cant go party with your friends on friday night and have a race the next day. YOU have to want it and YOU have to make it happen.
i hope this helped you some. good luck. HAVE FUN.
