Once i get my CRF250R im going to want to race it once i get used to it. I want to know roughly how much it could cost. I want to know where i should start. I want to get in depth with racing and possibly get some sponsors. Some info i have 2 years riding experience and i think that i ride pretty well from what my friends have said.I also i read something about taking lessons for racing? also about how much should i practice.
I already ride a 90cc, and am looking for something bigger that i can trail ride and race on. Im 5 foot 7 and strong. oh, and im a girl :] i ride pretty rough for a girl. I was thinking about a yz250 2 stroke...is that too big? what size bike do most girls my age ride?
Please help. I live in Michigan and i have to find races in order to get sponsored. This could decide my Life!!!

I'm 15 and I really want to take up dirt bike racing but my dad says that I waited to late to start because most people that go pro start when they're like 4. Did I really wait to late, or can I still start. I wanted to do it as a hobby, but going pro has crossed my mind. If it's not to late, how do I convince my dad to let me start?
P.S It would help if you have raced dirt bikes before
one of my friends has one and wants to come ride but i have mainly trails she has a trail bike but what is the real differance
yeah i ride four wheelers so i sorta get it a trail bike is like just for the trails a race bike is ment for a track.
I have been riding since i was 5 years old, i want to kno what type of bike would be great for motocross and what type of work i should do to make it faster.
In order for a dirt bike to be considered vintage it has to have been made before 1974. The reason for this is that 1975 saw the revolution that was long suspension travel. Vintage Suzuki dirt bikes are very popular among enthusiasts; these dirt bikes were the pinnacle of motocross racing during the 1970’s and dominated the scene. If you are interested in purchasing a vintage Suzuki dirt bike it can be relatively easy to find some models, such as the TM250, TM400 and the 250L Exacta. You may find that some of the models are rarer, such as the TM100, but with a little research you will find potential sellers of these kinds of vintage bikes.
This type of old dirt bike can be found in various conditions; they may need a complete reconstruction or just tidying up to bring it back to its former glory. If you have the enthusiasm, dedication and patience, then restoring a vintage Suzuki dirt bike can be worth the effort. Once your bike is up to standard you could join the thousands of enthusiasts from around the world at various vintage dirt bike events. You could just display your pride and joy for other people to admire or actually take part in some vintage dirt bike racing. Most of these events will have full details on related websites on the internet and the AHRMA (American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association) is a good place to start.
You could look at local dealers in your area to see if they have any used vintage Suzuki dirt bikes available for purchase. One of the best ways to source a vintage bike is online. Many suppliers and private sellers advertise their old bikes on the internet; they could be in classified pages or on dirt bike enthusiast forums, for example. If you need to find authentic parts for your dirt bike, then many suppliers have catalogs for you to browse on their websites. Vintage Suzuki dirt bikes in particular are well catered for in relation to finding replacement parts. You may also find that you can buy reproductions of the original models or authentic complete Suzuki dirt bikes from these websites.
Similarly, if you are looking to sell your vintage Suzuki dirt bike, you will find many fan-based community websites and forums where you can advertise your bike for the price you are looking to get for it.

Could u use a racing bike in trials or visa versa?
I want to get into racing dirt bikes. I already have experience racing go carts, but they got boring. I would be comfortable with having a powerband and not having the power spread out.
I'm 17 years old, weigh 150 lbs, and am 6' 2''.
I'm thinking about a 250 four stroke.
